How to read a Yu-Gi-Oh! set code
The set code is the most reliable way to identify a Yu-Gi-Oh! printing. It sits just below the artwork on the right side and has three parts: the set abbreviation, the region or language, and the card's number in the set. For example, LOB-EN001 is card 001 of Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, English print.
The 8-digit passcode in the bottom-left corner is the same for every printing of a card, so it tells you which card it is but not which set or rarity.

Yu-Gi-Oh! rarities and how to recognize them
The same card is often printed at several rarities, and the price gap can be huge. You can usually tell them apart by the foil on the name and the artwork.

1st Edition, Unlimited, and language
A 1st Edition copy is usually worth more than an Unlimited copy of the same printing, especially for older sets. Limited Edition cards come from tins, promos, and special products. Regional prints (such as EN for North America and E for Europe on older cards) and languages are priced separately too.
