POKÉMON CARD SCANNER

Scan Pokémon cards and verify the exact printing

Pokémon cards often reuse characters and artwork across sets, promos, reprints, and special treatments. A reliable match depends on the small details printed on the card—not the character name alone.

01

Use the collector number

The collector number is one of the strongest clues for distinguishing Pokémon cards. Keep the lower edge readable and compare the returned number and set with the physical card.

02

Check rarity and finish

Standard, reverse holo, special illustration, promo, and other treatments may belong to separate market records. Confirm the visible finish and rarity symbol before relying on an estimate.

03

Photograph reflective cards carefully

Holofoil cards can reflect lights directly into the camera. Use soft side lighting, remove heavily reflective outer sleeves when safe, and tilt the phone slightly until the printed text is clear.

QUESTIONS

What collectors ask

Can Solira scan vintage Pokémon cards?

Coverage depends on the available catalog record and whether the identifying details are visible.

Why did the scanner return a different Charizard?

Many cards share similar names and artwork. Compare the collector number, set, rarity, and finish.

Can Solira tell whether a Pokémon card is fake?

No. Identification does not prove authenticity.
